A US designer caused a stir on social media recently when he revealed he had tiled his bathroom floor using US$97 worth of pennies.
Patrick Girouard told Newsweek he spent a rainy weekend watching movies and gluing the 9,700 coins onto squares of fibreglass mesh, then applied the squares to the floor with Liquid Nails.
